Market Timing

Forex markets have set hours, unlike crypto markets which are always open for trading. The times are based on Eastern Time (ET) or New York time.

Market Gap

During the times when the market is closed, the price of a currency pair can change, creating gaps in the market. This means that when the market reopens, the price can be different than when it closed. Because of this, it's important to be careful when keeping trades open during non-trading hours. Gaps can also cause stop losses to be triggered at unexpected prices, and can lead to larger losses or gains than expected. Keep this in mind when using high leverage.
